Cookie Notice

This notice explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage, pixel tags, and SDKs) the Mica AI website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a site. We use session cookies (expire when you close the browser) and persistent cookies (remain until deleted). First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by service providers such as Google, PostHog, or RB2B and may recognize your device on other sites. Similar technologies include localStorage, pixel tags (clear GIFs), and mobile SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for how we process information collected by these technologies.

Retention: PostHog event data 12 months (host us.posthog.com); GA4 event data 2 months and user-level data 14 months; consent records per c15t expiry (365 days where configured). Data is then deleted or anonymized.
Geolocation before consent
The current landing page is a static export with no application server or database. To choose the correct consent rule, your browser makes one request to ipapi.co (https://ipapi.co/json/) before consent. ipapi.co sees your IP address for that request. We keep only the country and state/province codes, cached in localStorage key mica:geo for up to 30 days. We do not store or log your IP, city, or coordinates. If the lookup fails or is rate limited, we apply the strictest opt-in rules and retry on the next visit.
Google Analytics Advertising Features disclosure
As required by Google's policy for Advertising Features: we have implemented Google signals and related Advertising Features. We and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) or other identifiers together. Region and country-level metadata is collected by default. Refer to our Privacy Policy for the full Google signals description.
To opt out of these features, use: Google Ads Settings, GA opt-out add-on, NAI opt-out, or DAA opt-out. For mobile apps, use AppChoices. In EEA/UK, these features run only after you consent, per Google's EU User Consent Policy.
Other technologies
- Browser storage (localStorage): we use it for
mica-consentandmica:geo. Your browser can clear it, but you will lose your consent and region memory. - Web beacons / pixel tags: tiny images in pages or emails to measure opens and link clicks.
- PostHog SDK: JavaScript that collects events as described above. In cookieless mode it writes no storage.
Your choices
You can change your choices at any time. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required as an opt-out of sale/share for targeted advertising. You can also block or delete cookies in browser settings; some parts of the site may not work if you do. See also Privacy Policy “Your choices and controls”.

- To apply to all devices and browsers, repeat the opt-out on each one.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by CPRA) gives you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. Visitor identification through RB2B, and analytics cookies used for cross-context behavioral advertising, may count as sharing. To opt out, turn off Analytics and Visitor identification in Cookie settings, or enable GPC in your browser. PostHog in cookieless mode does not constitute sale/share.
